Laura is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who self identifies as a queer, neurodivergent, artist and therapist who is committed to helping guide others on their journey in life, through meeting their clients at whatever stage they are at, all while learning together along the way. Laura specializes in working with clients who are navigating: neurodivergence, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, navigating LGBTQIA+ and gender nonconforming identities, depression, and anxiety.

Laura believes in a therapeutic approach with their clients that is egalitarian, meaning that they do not wish to patronize or pathologize their clients, but rather be on equal footing. Laura believes that the key to good therapy is in acknowledging that we are all human, and that
navigating life’s trials and tribulations is no easy task to try to take on. Laura is very open and honest with their clients about their identities of being a neurodivergent, queer, and artsy therapist, and provides guidance to those that may want to explore similar topics or identities.

Laura’s therapeutic approach is versatile and eclectic, and as unique as each of their clients are. Laura practices from a place of being humble, being open, and being receptive to feedback. Their focus is on compassion, a mutual understanding of trust and safety, cultivating a
judgment-free zone, and identifying what helps each individual person thrive. They encourage their clients to get creative, think outside of the box, and be vulnerable with themselves, as often times that’s when folks are able to let their truest selves shine.

Laura hopes to collaborate and innovate their clients to work alongside them in a way that feels human and authentic. Laura is kept grounded by embracing the fact that they too are eternally learning, and that they eagerly embrace any opportunity to learn and grow from other perspectives outside of their own experience. Laura is graciously thankful to their clients for the honor of allowing Laura to work alongside them as they navigate the journey that they are on.
